Our psychology team understands and provides support for children with ASD and their families. Our psychologists use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, amongst others to guide intervention. These approaches will complement any other therapy your child may be receiving. We work collaboratively with the child, school, family, and other professionals. Individualised assessment and programming is delivered using positive behaviour strategies and support to improve outcomes of children and young people with behaviours that interfere with daily life and learning.
We provide parent education and support to help manage and cope with your child’s challenging behaviours as well as evidence-based strategies to use at home. For children we can help with management for anxiety and anger, emotion regulation and social skill development, as well as assessment for cognitive and learning difficulties.
